Dr. Colin Teo

Dr Colin Teo is a Senior Consultant Urology Surgeon with a fellowship in Endourology/Andrology in UK and completed his senior HMDP in Advanced Laparoscopic and Robotic Urological Surgery in USA. He is currently the re-elected President of the Society for Men’s Health (Singapore) and was the Founding Head of the Urology Department in Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. Dr Teo has a wide area of expertise in Kidney Stone Disease providing shockwave & laser endoscopic treatment.


He has special interests in laparoscopic and robotic surgery in Urological Cancers such as kidney, prostate, bladder, testicular & penile cancers. He also has a passionate practice devoted to Men’s Health Andrology/Subfertility and General Urology treating Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) with bipolar and greenlight laser surgery, overactive bladders and inguinal hernias.


He is well-known by his patients for his sincere, friendly nature and his personalized compassionate care for his patients putting them at ease with local dialects, mandarin and malay consultations. For best patient outcomes, Dr Teo regularly engages a multidisciplinary approach combining pharmacological, minimally invasive surgery and multimodality therapy whenever indicated with related specialists.


Dr Teo completed his Urology training in Singapore General Hospital, received his Fellowship in Endourology & Andrology in St James’s Hospital in the United Kingdom and went on to complete his senior HMDP in Advanced Robotics & Minimally Invasive Surgery in Keck Institute of Urology, University of Southern California (USC), USA.

He is a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh & has a Masters of Medicine in Surgery. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore & attained his Fellowship in the European Board of Urology examined in Prague and Athens. He was a Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Medical Scholar commissioned with the Sword-of Honour who graduated from National University of Singapore & is an appointed Adjunct Assistant Professor & MBBS examiner of Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS.

Dr Teo is recognized for his active dedication to humanitarian missions receiving the 2017 Singapore Healthcare Humanitarian Award, UN Peacekeeping Medal & SAF Overseas Mission Medal.


He is a Urology Residency Advisory Committee Member & Examiner; Council Member of the Chapter of Urologists, College of Surgeons; Invited Founding Member of the Robotic Surgery Society of Singapore; Invited Founding Member in the newly formed International Androgen Society; Member of the Asian Society for Female Urology, Society for Continence Singapore, Endourological Society, International & Asia-Pacific Society for Sexual Medicine and invited faculty in many international and regional conferences.


His greatest joy is firmly anchored in his wife & 4 children driving his professional career.
